He was born March 8, 1947 in Vassar, the son of the late Cecil and Bernice (Kalar) Colosky.

Surviving family include his children, Rex (Tracy) Colosky, Fred (Kelly) Colosky and Ettiemae (Ray) Hess; grandchildren, Tiffinee, Buster, Jacob, Linda, Morgan, Cassie and Raelynn; his sister, Julia Wilbur; lifelong companion, Joyce Colosky; and several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

Cecil was preceded in death by his sons, Cecil Colosky III and Charles Colosky; a daughter, Goldie Colosky; his brother, Clayton Colosky; and sister, Donna Johnson.

Funeral service was held Friday, May 9, 2008 at the Penzien-Steele Funeral Home in Vassar. Pastor Todd M. Harrison officiated.
